Default 2009 street bob digital gauge
so i really hate not having a tach on my 09 street bob because i would like to be able to see whats going on when im cruising as well as to know where i want to tune with my tmax. with that being said, could i just drop in a combo tach/speedo and have it work with the harness the way it is or would i have to grab a signal wire from somewhere?

you absolutely can drop one in and go. It takes a few minutes for the gauge to pull your bikes info from the ecu but that’s it. I have the cvo digital speedo/tach on my 04 and it was plug and play.

I guess my big thing on buying used is mileage. Or is it stored in the ecm?

I *think* you would just have to plug this gauge into your data port under the seat, turn the ignition to acc and it would download your bikes info to it.

I thought once these were applied to a bike, they wouldnt work quite right without getting an error

Not to threadjack, but what about onto the fxdl that has the two gauge setup. Would plugging into one suffice and the other remain intack/covered/removed?
