I know this has been a popular topic, I am totally new to Harley's and wrenching on them, I am pretty good with a wrench and do most of my own maintenance and mods. My question is about the front motor mount shims I have been reading about them not just here but other places. I changed out my front motor mount before I really got knolege of shimming it. So know I have a new front motor mount installed and would like to know if I should do the shims, and how to go about it as far as how many and what to use. I bought a 2007 Dyna Low rider about a month ago ( My first Harley) it has 21K on it pretty good tires but I think they are dated 2011 and probably should be changed ? I would like to do the rear motor mount when i change out the rear tire is there anything I should do as far as shims for the rear motor mount? My bike is pretty much stock except for the Vance & Hines exhaust and the stupid blue LED lights the last owner put on and done a pretty shabby job with the wiring and I might just take that stuff off..not a big fan of LED accent lighting. So looking for some insight as to what to look out for on my 2007 Dyna with 21K any tips and tricks are appreciated.
Best Regards,
Dewking
