silver bead blast engine paint
just wondering, my silver colored engine shows everything, had to use steel wool to get two stains off the primary area. Sometimes I wish I bought a black wrinkle finish engine instead. what a pain in the rear. I'm thinking the silver colored engines aren't really as durable. I knoew it's just cosmetics but hell it looks like crap. I'm thinking about replacing the outer primary cover, maybe with a chrome one. If i replace the cover with a silver one it will just look like crap again. Any ideas?
I actually think the black shows more dirt. You can easily clean the silver powder coat and it will always look like new. If you notice people's pictures with the black engines almost all the time they have a brown haze on them. Of course they just might not be cleaning them.
If you just buy a spray bottle degreaser like Orange Blast it will clean up the silver powder coat really well and won't strip any of it away. That's what I use and the engine always looks brand spanking new.
About the chrome outer primary cover, sure they look cool and I love mine but that choice is completely up to you.

I wonder if that orange degreaser would work on my rear pully. I don't know what I got on there but it looks like oil or something and it doesn't want to come off.
