im really not sure because i bought the bike with about 3800 miles on it and by then it had a le pera bare bones on it....compared to the bare bones it does move you forward maybe an inch. the bare bones is so minimal that you can sit back quite a ways on it though.
The Harley windshield had so much buffeting above 65mph. I had to modify it and angle it. It's now acceptable.
How did you go about that and what exactly did you do? How big are you, I ask for comparison as I'm about to pick one up and I'm 6'2. I realize there are other factors such as the seat and bars perhaps too.
I know I have read a few times that if you don't place the windshield pretty tight near the headlights it will/can cause some issues. Aside from that I'm not quite sure.

I'm 5'7" with a 31" inseam. A good seat (love my C&C Sport Tour), the FLD footboards & a set of bars that put your hands at roughly shoulder height while letting you sit up straight will do you right.

i have a set of tourmaster floorboards but they are a little small
how do the FLD ones mount to a bike with forwards?
They'll replace them & will be easier to mount than on a bike with mids. Shifter & brake pedal in roughly the same location, but the 'boards basically span the distance between the mid mounts & forwards. Plenty of room to move around, stretch out & get comfortable.

.
so they just mount directly to the peg mount? Like mine do now?
the pictures of the ones ive seen seem to have two mounting points
