Cool thanks for the advise guys, was kinda under the mind set I needed motorcycle glove because they might be made to work better with the controls .
found what looks like a nice set of gloves under ski/snowmobile gloves on Amazon that I might just buy I like the fact they go over my jacket sleeves as the ones I have now dont.

Going to keep riding as long as I can it just is a better trip to work on the bike.

Thanks again.

Heated grips do not heat top of hands. They do fail . Good heated gloves last a long time. I have had my HD ones sense 2007 and I use them a lot, even when not cold enough to plug them in. Avoid the rechargeable battery ones .Get ones that you plug in.
yes we do ride when it is cool out.

+1 for Gauntlet style skiing gloves. Used them throughout the winter in the northeast, at least until it snowed.

Kim snowmobile gloves or mittens. Mittens will be the warmest.

I have a pair of River Road Cheyenne gloves I've used for 60 mile commutes down to about 40 degrees. Any less than that and I need a heated jacket, or something...

Regarding heated gloves/grips: pros and cons both ways.

With heated grips, you never have to worry about forgetting to bring the gloves. Cons: when you sell the bike the grips go with the bike, unless you take them off and replace them with regular grips, and they only heat the palms.

With heated gloves, you obviously have to have them with you, but they don't go with the bike if/when you sell it. And, they heat the whole hand.

Different riders love either/or.

Fox Creek leather makes some excellent insulated gloves and gauntlets. However I put these on a bike and it made a world of difference. Keeping the direct wind off the hands is a huge help.

they look a little goofy but they really work.

these are the mounts. You can take the guards off and leave the mounts on the bars in the summer.

What also helped when I travelled to work was getting about 5ft behind a semi to reduce wind chill factor. It also improved fuel economy.

Very interested in the snow/ski gloves. Are they generally leather? Or synthetic outer

have tried a few motorcycle specific glove for winter and they are poor

gauntlet style is mandatory
