throw a set of these gauntlets on. theyll block the wind.
then you can usually wear a much thinner glove....but if not, snowmobile gloves are expensive but awesome (we ride in negative temps all day without issue) and heated gloves are the best. depends how long you ride and what you want to spend...but i'd forget "motorcycle" specific gloves.
I have a circulation problem so I've tested a lot of gloves trying to keep feelings in my fingers.
Just a follow up, I went cheap and bought a $15 pair of gauntlet stlye ski gloves from Menards and they are working great so far alittle more bulky then what I really wanted but no more so than the Harley gauntlet gloves.
Well see how they do when it gets down in the 20s..
I bought a pair of the HD leather gauntlet Thinsulate gloves a while back. I wore them on the 80 mile commute to work in 50 degree F weather, and by the time I got there, I thought I was going to need some finger amputations for frostbite. I had heated grips put on my FLHR, and now no problem at all at 40-50 even at low grip settings and despite only the palms being heated.
That said, I have a pair of Gerbings (Size 9.0 M) with a dual controller that I bought new and installed the harness on my old FLSTC-and never used except to try on! They're back in the box and ready to go-cheep! PM me if interested.

Reason: TYPO!
Believe it or not it gets quite cold here in Central Florida just not a lot of days like that though. I have purchased many pair of thick leather motorcycle gloves over the years from vendors but the best pair I have ever owned for keeping my hands warm are a pair of Harley Davidson gloves. They are not even particularly thick but they have a thinsulate inner lining that does the trick. They are only partially leather and some sort of canvas. My best friend was killed in a car crash in 1996 and his family sent me his jacket and gloves among other things. Seriously the best and warmest gloves I've ever had. I purchased a pair of winter gloves from the Bass Pro Shop back in the spring but have not tried them yet. They are not leather but seem like they will do the trick as well. I will try them this winter.
Buhahahahaaha....... That's the funniest thing I have read tonight...
Cold in Central Fla... Is what?? 60 maybe 50?
I don't live to for from there, and when people from there pop up here in the spring or fall they dress like they're in Alaska...
But one must keep the digits warm! Cause if you stop to pee ... A severe case of shrinkage might occur .
Sure snowmobile gloves and heavy ski gloves will keep your hands warm but you're still on a bike right? Why get some protection while staying warm? I'm in the same situation, trying to extend my riding season and my commute to work. I've got about a 25 minute ride and the morning temps have been below 40 and some days below 30...im not riding below 30 but I finally got a pair of heated gloves and the ride is so much better. At 15 minutes in I'm no longer so concentrated on my cold fingers and I can stay focused on watching for any deer that might want to ruin my day. I went battery powered because I didn't want to be wired to the bike. My longest ride has been 3 hours and it was about 40 to 45 and i kept them on the lowest setting and my hands were nice and warm. Highway 21 about 200 bucks...i had 40 bucks in revzilla cash so I figured why not? Money well spent I believe.
I bought 2 pairs of Fox Creek insulated gauntlets last year and I am not impressed with the warmth but they are very supple. They are comfortable but the warmth is not that impressive. I expected more.

I'm surprised noone has mentioned Bear Wallow gloves yet. I've got these and with a pair of silk glove liners underneath I can ride all the way down in the 20's.
Reasonable price. Made in the US. Great customer service.
