Default big guys and Superglides

I'm 6'1 and 270 lbs. and may buy a 2007 Superglide. Is their any big guys who have a superglide and are happy with the overall choice? I'v had Sportster's since 1990 the first a 1959 Sportster chopper, 1990 883 and a 1995 Sportster with forward controls. Before I spend the money I would like some advice. Nothing worst than regret. Thanks

5'11", 318 pounds...i love it...and i have the mids still on..i found from my last bike that forewards are hard on my back...you will need a new seat..the oem seats are killers..i bought the dyna touring seat and love it..made all the difference in the world...

good luck

Geez these guys are big...............

Seriously though, I have an 07 SG and don't regret it for a second. I'm 6'7 but skinny as a rail so weight isn't an issue. The only thing I had to change for comfort was putting 3" extended forward controls on. Made all the difference in the world for me. You would be good with the normal HD forwards, if thats what you wanted.
I'd recommend some of the heavy duty Progressive shocks that alot of guys here seem to like for a smoothr ride.

As far as the seat goes, I actually don't mind the stocker that much.

I'm 6' and about 250 lbs. I love my 03 SuperGlide. I use the stock handlebars and mid controls without any problems. Out of my 3 seats, I think the stocker is the most comfortable, but I like the Corbin Solo Classic for around town.[8D]

I am 6'6" and 337 lbs. I have an 07 SG with forward controls and love it. I did switch from the stock seat to a Sundowner solo. The stock one made my tailbone area go numb after 15 minutes or so. I can ride for hours on the Sundowner with no complaints.

I ride a bob, but it has mid controls and the same seat basically. Only difference is the Handlebar configuration.

I am 6'4" 290 or so. I was a O Tackle for a Div 1 school in college, just to let you know how big I am. I am fine with the mid controls infact I like them a lot better than my sporty with forwards.

I'm 5'11" 170 pounds, my brother is 6'4" 240 pounds, both of us prefer Super Glides and custom choppers.

I just fitted a Sundowner seat to my Superglide Custom, and it lifts you up a bit, which makes the angle to the mids a bit more comfortable, although I havent ridden it yet. But sitting on it you can tell the difference. A lot more support for your butt as well.
The Tall HD seat maybe more to your liking.
I am only 5ft11", 220lbs.
I would have thought a Sportster would be a bit more cramped than a Dyna??

5'11" @ 250#. Dyna fits me fine. Installed the Mustang Wide Solo with back rest. Comfortable on long trips and a blast around town and going to work.

I’m 6’4” and 290 lbs. My Super Glide Custom fits me fine! I did have forward controls put on before I picked it up from the dealership because of my long legs.
