I have a 16' FXDL Lowrider that needs some help. I threw on a Moons LED headlight and taillight, Memphis Shades fairing, Saddlemen seat, and a Screaming Eagle slip on that a friend sold me for cheap. I am adding a 13.5" shocks, Bassani RR II 2 into 1 exhaust, Power Vision Tuner and a new high flow Air Cleaner very soon. I need help with the bars, I wanna go taller! I love the Lucky Daves 13" San Diego bars but Im unsure of the cables that I need, 12" stock FXSB???. In my pea brain, I know going to a taller riser setup with taller bars is a better way to go,right?!? Any suggestions on a taller riser with some pullback bars? .

For risers you probably want shorter ones, around 1.5" straight risers. I'm 5'9" and I use 12" bars and wouldn't go above 14" but that is kind of dependent on your height. You will need to decide on the bars you want and then I'd get that and mock it up to get the measured length for cables you'll need. You'll also need wiring extensions.
From what I know talking to other people stock FXDB cables will work to 12-14" bars (14" is really stretching it from what I've heard). Should be plenty of wiring stuffed in the back bone for the controls. Looks like you have the funky FXDL headlight brow/riser setup currently. You'll need to go to a bottom mount headlight bucket and block. Your lower triple tree should already have the hole drilled for the block. Memphis shades should have one that will work with your current fairing setup, stock headlight bucket from a FXDB or any other bottom mount 5 3/4" headlight bucket should work.
Lucky Daves " Lucky13 bar" in 13" height being installed on 16 FXDB. Well made bars and were easy to wire and my stock Street Bob cables worked fine. Got about 20,000 miles with some long runs with them and am very pleased. I like the pullback but many prefer straight, be sure on your choice. Good Luck!
I'm running 14" T-bars on an 07 street bob. Plenty of wiring harness to run internal without splicing. My OEM throttle/idle cables absolutely did not work. The current throttle/idle, clutch, and brake line are from when the previous owner installed 16" apes. No idea on the specs, but the clutch and brake lines are too long, but the throttle/idle cables are about right.
I'm out of town at the moment, so this is the best picture I have to illustrate the clutch and brake line length. I believe they're 4" over, but not 100% sure.
