The dealer did the download, so I'm assuming it was the screaming eagle download that they did. I don't know if it was dyno'd though. I would guess not.
WELL YOU HAVE TO BUY THE S.E.RACE TUNER KIT $469.00 FROM THEMAND THEN THEY WILL DYNO YOUR BIKE, THE CHANGES I SEE YOU MADE AND ON ANY2006 AND LATER MODEL YOU HAVE TO BUY THE RACE TUNER AND THEN HAVE IT DYNO TUNED , IT MAY SEEM LIKE IT IS RUNNING FINE BUT THE INSIDE'S ARE NOT BECAUSE OF THE EMISSIONS AND 02 SENORS IN YOUR BIKE , I WOULD CHECK MY RECEIPT AND SEE WHAT IT SAYS , YOU CAN HAVE ENGINE DAMAGE WITHOUT HAVING A MAP DOWNLOADED AND DYNO'D !!

I'll check when I get home, but I'm just about positive it was the SE Race Tuner kit I purchased. I'm takin' the bike in this week, so I'll inquire then as well.
THEY HAD TO DYNO IT BECAUSE THAT'S THE ONLY WAY THE DOWNLOAD WOULD WORK CORRECTLY !

Thanks for the replies and the info. I'm new to this stuff, so I'm a little ignorant when it comes to engine mods and what they require.

The dealership doing the work is a pretty reputable one. Actually won awards the last two years for customer service in CAnada ... so I'm told.

Thanks again.

You do not have to have the bike dyno tuned. Not even if you have the SERT. There are canned maps that come with it for standard Stage I modifications. The dealer probably did the Stage I cartridge download.

I find that I can't climb to top speed in 6th gear. I get to 100mph in 4th and then take it up in 5th. 6th gear is just too high. To date, I've had mine up to 115mph and more left. The rider just decided it was time to quit.

If I had hit the rev limiter would it not have basically shut the engine down?
No, it just stops reving any higher. It is there to keep the engine from blowing up. I don't know of any shop that dynos after a SE I upgrade. It's a canned download and usually a little lean.

I would not recommend dynoing your bike unless you do change more, it can be expensive. JMHO

Well, I'm not sure what the deal is. I'll have to try to open it up again and see. From what I can tell, the bike is running beautifully. Although 5th gear seems a little noisy, not sure why. Anyway, if it is the rev limiter, than it feels like it's set way too low. At 112mph the bike didn't seem to be working very hard, not screaming at all,it felt like there was lots left, but the bike just wouldn't go there.

I'm thinking rev limiter, but the dealer should be able to verify that tomorrow.

Thanks again for all the feedback.

When you hit the rev limit the bike should drasticaly lose power till you back off the throttle. My 07 Bob just has slip on mufflers and I ran it up to 108 mph on a flat road, in a 6th gear roll-on and that was max. Now if you get real low on the bike that will increase it a bit due to decreased wind drag. I think the trick is to keep the bike in 5th gear. I think 6th is just geared too high. I haven't had a chance to test this yet cause let's face it, you gota pick your spots. Also, You'll find that if you make a *****-to-the-wall run from a dead stop and wind that sucker up to just under the rev limit in each gear, it will make a big difference than just doin a high speed roll-on. It's real hairy doing this with the mid-controls. It makes me fell like I'm "loose" on the bike. I'm waitin till I put the forwards on to really hammer it!

RAZERFXDB Carefull... The stage 1 download is just a quick Flash.. Dyno Runis worthless with out the SERT.. No need to put your bike through the Stress of a dyno unless you can make adjustments, which requires the SERT.. Other wise your wasteing your money..The stage 1 Download richens it up a tad. And resets you Rev limiter to 6200 if ya want...

there has to be something wrong. even when my bob was bone stock i was still ablle to bury the speedo and never hit the limiter in 6th gear, not for lack of trying though, just never had enough straight clear road to get it up to 6500 in 6th.
