I'm trying to install a "dashcam" on my '15 FLD and I read somewhere that there's a switched wire harness under the seat. I removed the seat and found an adapter that isn't plugged into anything. I did some googling and it appears to be a "Namz - NM-31403-2100 - OEM-Type Molex" connector. I just have a few questions if anyone can help.
1. Is this a switched connection? I can't get my multimeter on the tiny connections.
2. Do you know where can I find the male end of this adapter?
If it's a switched connection I want to plug my camera into it. I'd like to wire to the male end adapter so I don't have to splice into the factory wiring.
I believe that is the B+ connector and not the one you want for accessories. There is another plug that may already have something connected to it coming off the same harness called the 94A plug. If there is already something connected to it you would need a splicer to create a second connection. part HD 70264-94A.
I went to the parts counter at my local HD shop. They looked up the wiring harness for my bike and I bought it for $20. Got it home and it's the wrong harness. My bike has a six pin plug, the harness has four pins. I didn't look at the plug on my bike before I bought the harness so lesson learned because HD doesn't take returns/exchanges on electrical parts.
So, I bough two small pins for 50˘ each. I soldered them to the power cord for my camera and then attached them to the wiring harness I found under the electrical panel on the left side of the bike.
Dude, I think you plugged in to the ECM interface port, not the AUX power power port. The AUX power port is under the seat, not in the electrical panel.
The guys at the dealership told me it was under the panel on the left side. Ill have to take another look under the seat, but I dont remember seeing a four-pin accessory port.
