So, after only 2 weeks owning the bike, picked up some V&H slip-ons online and put 'em on... Love 'em.... BUT... question is, when I go to do my 1000 mile service, do you think I'm gonna be hassled for messing with the bike, and possibly voiding the warranty with "after-market" parts?
By law, they are not allowed to void your warranty unless there is a problem and they can prove your add-ons, aftermarket or OEM, caused the problem. It is covered under the Magnuson-Moss Act. Most folks don't know this, and sadly most dealerships don't know this either. So, you should be fine. If they hassle you just educate them.

Think ECU's (Thundermax and the like) would be covered under the Magnuson-Moss Act?
I went one further. I change out the complete eshaust for the Big Shot Staggered. As stated before they would have to prove that the aftermarket part caused the failure then they would not be obligated to cover the part. PS I only had 300 miles on it when I switched the pipes.
