rear brake pressure
I have a 98 dyna wide glide i decided to change the brake fluid which i have never done before. I bought a mityvac hand pump and did the front brake and had no problem. I did the rear brake i put the tube on the brake bleeder screw and pumped the hand vac but could not get any pressure on the pump. I tried numerous times but could not get any pressure on the pump. I decided to see if any fluid would come out of the bleeder valve if i pumped the brake pedal and yes brake fluid came out so i decided to do it manually without the pump but when i was done the brake pedal seemed mushy just wondering if something must be wrong that i could not get any pressure built up also when i depressed the brake pedal when bleeding the brakes the pedal returned to the position very quickly

Sounds like you have air stuck in the system. I would by a new bleed screw and drain the fluid out of the master cylinder, then remove the bleeder from the caliper. Put the new bleeder in, fill the MC and try bleeding again.

It's got air in it I used a large syringe n back bled from the bleeder to the master cylinder,if u decide to do this don't push hard cuz it will shoot like ol faithful.
Try tapping the lines w a screwdriver handle to aid the air to move and the oil to fill the void. If this fails leave it set overnight to allow it to burp and gravity feed thru the line. Struggled w this many times....good luck.
