Smoke and mirrors nonsense, there's nothing that provides a solid link to prevent sideways movement and that's the whole point a Predator mount.

You dont necessarily need a solid link, just stiff enough to stop the deflection.

and there are 4 points that are working in that plane.

I was going to say the same thing, really doesn’t matter what it looks like as long as it’s stable in that direction. Plus it comes down to how stiff or flexible this material is...for me, I can’t wait to see what it can do...

I'm soooooooo glad I found this thread! Just today I lifted my bike and saw that the rear mount in my Dyna is dead after only like 1.5 years!!! I was looking for a better rear mount solution since I have a Predator in the front that I'm happy. Hope they have the rear one available ASAP.

I had a rear mount fail after about 1500 miles. It was a cheap import Custom Chrome/Drag Specialties mount. Total crap. Found a stock mount at Boardtracker HD thats been good for a couple years now.

Yep I can confirm that those ones don't last as much as the OEM ones... mine lasted for over 5k miles. I was going to change it for an OEM but I now want to wait for the rear Kinetic mount.

Sooo....I received the front mount this week and had a chance to install it today. What should have been a 1/2 hour job became a 3 hour job as one of the Predator bolts stripped out and I had to grid the head off to get my predator mount off. Such a pain considering I only installed it end July.

It really looks like a quality product. Mine came with some simple instructions but really ? its 6 bolts. The one thing I did notice is that you have to use your stock top mount and hardware to make it work, the predator is a complete unit. Luckily I did not throw out my old mount when I installed my predator....

Now...for what you having been waiting to hear. How did it ride etc...going head to head against my predator, the bike felt the same handling wise, nice and stiff, with good tracking and no noticeable wobble or weave. Vibration was only marginally better then the predator. Something I was hoping would be improved...but I do think I need to tweak the install a little more as I did end up with a very noticeable gap between the frame and the mount...something I was not expecting as my stock mount and the predator mounted up nice and flush. I used the stock shims that were supplied but I still think more needs to be done, plus I need to double check the power train alignment. I had it zeroed out with the predator...

So in a nut shell compared to the predator:
Handling is equal
Vibration control is a bit better but with some tweaking it should be a lot better.

This is the gap...the motor is on a small jack lifted up only as high to align the bolts so I could turn them in by hand...I ended up using both supplied shims...I think I am going to redo that part of the install tomorrow and add a couple of washers to the top part of that gap....

I believe this caused more vibration then necessary

Update: I was just speaking to Harry and I indeed screwed up the install, specifically the bolt torque sequence...so tomorrow I am going to loosen everything and re-tighten all bolts according to their install video....
