Discolored brake rotor
Don't know if this is normal but the rear brake rotor on my bike is discolored - it's turning goldish blue, like heat damage. I never ride my brake and I've never smelled it burning. It's an 07 with 2400 miles. The front rotor looks new.
Anyone else see this?

Mine had blue steaks when I replaced my pads. I had about 10,000 miles when I replaced them a couple of months ago. Doesn't sound like you have enogh miles for that but you never know I guess. Don't know if this helps but good luck.

I had my 06 WG up on the jack and noticed the rear wheel wouldn't turn freely. Didn't see a problem , so I started it up and put it in gear and the back rotor was warpped pretty bad. It had turned a light gold color in one area, but I had never noticed a problem while riding. 9500 miles , brakes were never abused. Dealer replaced rotor , problem solved.

I haven't seen any at all.
First thing you'll notice is the annoying squeak is gone.

It is yellowing because it is stainless. The same with the handlebars. On all models, except the Dressers, the bars are stainless, not chrome.....or at least they were up until the '05's or so. I can't comment on later bikes.........Anyway, they turn yellow with time.
