"38 longs" ... funny ... or not funny depending on your perspective
They leave the 02 plugged in now... really only affects the "Closed Loop" area, but I would use the the eliminators.
If you have time (although it may not be needed), check on ebay for a PC3 or PC5 cheap (approx $50 +/- ... pc5 can be a little more) plus O2 eliminators (could get lucky and get them with). Any pc3 with 805-510 on the side label will work regardless of what the Ad says. Same with pc5, but with different numbering and labeling.

Good info Multi thanks. Don't we mostly ride in the closed loop area of rev range? So if I read you correctly, the o2 sensors are now left installed in pipes and plugged into stock wire harness? The instructions on FM sight still refer to o2 optimizers. I sent them an email to clarify this. I have a hard time justifying more than a few hundred dollars to enrichen the mixture for what I'm doing even though it undoubtedly easier to use FP3 or Powervision.
I did hear back from Fuel Moto and you are correct Multi. You leave the o2 sensors plugged in now and the controller won't do anything while its in closed loop. So my guess is that will be of no use for eliminating or reducing decel pop. Also, closed loop is from idle to 2200 RPM which seems like where we cruise with Harleys most of the time so I'm scratching my head on just how much value it would have other than when you really twist the grip? They did state power Vision is a better option for 07 and up. I'm sure that it is but damn, $400.00 to adjust fuel probably 1 time to the AC and Slip-ons seems a bit overkill to me. I'm no cheapskate when it comes to my toys but the later is hard to justify. The one good thing is FM is very responsive to inquiries!
I believe the closed loop area is whenever the AFR measured on the exhaust between 14.2 and 15. When decelerating the stock MAPS are pushing a 12 to 14 AFR to lean the mixture but that AFR is outside the range of the O2 sensors so it guesses how much to use. The PC3 and 5 do have a decel enleanment setting that lowers the AFR target even more when decelerating and can be tweaked to get rid of decel pop by .

Now you're talking, I knew you'd come around! Might as well slip in some modest cams while you're putting in the PV, FM will hook you right up! All the boys here will supply you with all the help/assistance you could ask for; Now you're cooking

I'll say it again ... (if you're trying to stay on the functional but inexpensive side)

Post-up any you see and want confirmation

Thanks Multi, I'm going to consider all options at this point. Still too cold to ride here so I have a little time. Fuel Moto really delivers though. I ordered my AN big sucker on Wednesday and it was delivered yesterday afternoon. So my my next question is it seems like Power vision is preferred over V&H Fuel Pack. The price is the same (At least from FM) Do you have to have the power vision mounted on bars or can it be unplugged once you upload a Map? I kind of like my bikes on the minimalist side and do not need or want any distractions on my bars.
Modding Harley's can become an addiction I've noticed.
Also, what are thoughts on Dobeck EJK? Seems similar to Micro Tuner but no tap for TPS.
I have an 04 Dyna as well and gees, tuning was so simple (And cheep) compared to EFI options.
Yes it can be unplugged once a map has been uploaded. I`ve had my PV for 7 years and last year was the first year I rode with it NOT mounted. I always liked the extra gauges that you can program it to see while riding but I thought I would try riding without it for a while and I like the uncluttered look better. If you do get the PV or FP3, FuelMoto has lifetime support which is the reason I bought from them.
As for the exhaust just be aware that certain models of the Bassani have both plpes wrapping around the cam chest which reduces your ground clearance on right hand turns. Bassani chrome models 13111J and 13112J do NOT wrap around the cam chest.
