Just went through this. Stock 2015 103 Low Rider, with supertrapp, supermeg with 16 discs and hi flo V&H air cleaner. 79hp and 95 tq. No decel popping and no tune of any kind, just the disks in the exhaust. Added Andrews 48's and got 92hp and 109tq. YMMV.
I like 2-1s in all respects. Sound (some of them, not all) performance (again, some not all) and packaging. Looks cleaner to me and usually doesnt detract from the look of the bike. The only times I like 2-2 is on choppers but even then theres certain bikes where a 2-1 is just the right look.
In reference to 2>1 "looks", you can even split people into two camps concerning the Rear Cyl piping route ... (eg. Thunderheader curling both pipes around the front of the cam cover or a Rear pipe that splits the Trans and Eng.)

I have hopes that the Hooker would sound good ... I have had a set of Hooker Touring Slip-ons that I like the Sound of.
Interesting about Hooker's "Tuned Flow" ... you loosen the Screws and rotate the end plate to change the center opening to force the exhaust around the outside or not ... "T" for Torque, "H" for Horsepower
