Finally time to do some work on the Wide Glide
I've wanted to do this for awhile but never had the time since I was always on the road working. Seeing as my industry has dried up for the time being, what better time than this to get it done and enjoy some quality riding that I've missed out on over the last 3 years.
I'll update the thread later today with some before and after pictures of the install!
small handful of the work in progress pictures I took. Wrapped up the pipes earlier this afternoon, Went for a quick frozen spin around the block and all I can say is wow, the big shots are some impressive pipes.
So when we went about it we attempted to leave the rear o2 sensor connected to the bike, was able to get it out of the stock pipes without much trouble, but could not successfully get it installed into the new pipes. I can't see any way around it, popping the seat off is easy enough, just a minor PITA to fish the o2 sensor cable out of the box and then back in.
New air cleaner showed up today and will be installing in the morning, that one is definitely easy enough.
I'll update with the finished product tomorrow!
Your avatar does not match your bike, what's the story there?
Your axle has been reversed, you or a PO?
Well, as long as the O2 sensor threads in without a problem into the exhaust pipe, running the other end of the sensor in between the frame and the electrical caddy is nothing that should pose any trouble, plenty of room there. What's the follow-up, you get it all hooked back up yet?
