Hi folks,
I'm sorry to post a thread without having myself inroduced before, but when I was riding my Street Bob yesterday the check engine light turned on, what I'm really concerned about. It happened when I hit a pothole at low speed. The motorcycle was running still fine, lights, speedometer, everything works.
I did some internet research and was finally able to read the error codes:
P0108 Map sensor failed high carb
P0132 front O2 sensor high
P0152 rear O2 sensor high
B2116 fuelpump output open
B2126 horn output open
B2131 high beam output open
B2136 low beam output open
B2271 BCM low voltage
U0156 lost communication with speedometer
Now I have no idea what to do.
Any suggestions I could try before taking it to the dealership?
Thanks in advance.
First thing I’d try is disconnecting the connector to the ECM, spray it with some contact cleaner (both sides) and reconnect. Clear the codes and ride. See if it happens again.
Edit: pull main fuse/disco battery first of course.
I just deleted all the error codes. But code P0108 (MAP sensor failed high carb) immediately came back, when I fired up the engine. So I guess I have to check all the vacuum tubes around the manifold next? Is there a way to check the map sensor?
Something's loose...check "both" ends of battery cables & then start looking through wiring harnesses. Any electrical/wiring mods we should know about (e.g. handlebars, lights, tuner, etc.)?
