Default Back to the Future...Wide Glide, Part 3

Hi Everyone,

Well, I'm back. I had a 1998 Wide Glide for years and had a blast with it. Traded it in for 2012 WG back then and just didn't have as much fun. Don't shoot me, all, but it actually just wasn't as much fun despite a big number of performance upgrades and other goodies. Ended up selling it back in 2014 and took a break from riding -- until now.

Found a killer 2007 WG and bought it online from a guy in Tampa (I am in Massachusetts). It is being shipped up this week and will start posting again with the mods once I start down the mod rabbit hole...see you soon!

Certainly looks like you'll be having fun now. Nice looking ride.

Clean bike and it has the 96 and newer stator and rotor I believe. Good find.

Paint is sharp and I dig the pipes, love slash cut duals, nice

Well, you've had it long enough, time to put some cams in it

P.S. It's interesting that the paint is reversed on the front fender vs. the tank and rear fender.

Holy Crap -- I never noticed the reverse of the paint scheme on the front fender. Great catch!

That's a 2006 Wide Glide and is one of the limited production colors that Harley Davidson "use to" offer during the winter months for each model year. It may be pretty rare, you can call Harley Davidson to find out how many they actually made.

Thank you for the reply-- and the info! The bike was listed as a 2007 when I bought it, but I was doing further research since and learned it was a 2006 which, at first, made me less than happy since I had been looking for a 2007. However, the shipper who I meet about an hour ago when he unloaded my bike from its trip from Florida was absolutely crazed over the rareness of the color scheme. He, too, knew it was a rare factory color and thinks there may only have been 25 made. Thats sounds insanely low, but I will start looking into it tomorrow.

Guess I have to change my signature....2006 it is.

Take 8 ci away and keep an eye on the stator deal and you got yourself a nice scooter. Mine has been a great bike. Enjoy it!
