So Im about 800 miles into my new 117 build and I was riding home this afternoon and started hearing a tap-tap-tap that was matching my rpm. My mind instantly went to pushrods. I got home, let it cool off and re adjusted. Started it, same noise. Next I open the front rocker box and thar she blow!
Im an engineer so yes, I use loctite and a torque wrench on EVERYTHING. My question is will I be ok just getting another HD plate or do I need to drop some coin on a billet plate? It never crossed my mind during the build because honestly I hardly hear them mentioned as essential upgrades. What do you guys think?
