Hey new user and just traded in my 2001 Honda Shadow in for my first H-D Bike. I purchased a 2017 H-D FXDB with 1,100 miles on it and the first thing I want to do with it is get some storage with saddle bags. I didn't want to relocate the signals or plate but only found 1 specific fit bag that I'm looking for opinions or if anyone has experience with these bag/ Supposedly you don't need to relocate plate or signals. You have to disconnect the turn signal run the wire through the mounting bracket for the saddles and then reconnect the signals with that triangular bracket added. So if anyone has any experience with these bags please let me know. This will be a winter project when the weathers crappy and my bikes just sitting in the garage.
Gym bag or if you're really into it, a Harley Messenger bag.
I always buy bikes--Harley or whatever-- that can't have bags without major overhaul. I ride a lot, too.
So I work with what I got.
Is what it is. I could buy a bagger...lol
Also, you will see many people have gone with the Leatherpros bags. I did and they are awesome. It’s no big deal to relocate the rear turn signals. Several options available.

That's the rub, innit. I like the turn signals where they are.
The Italian website has some interest for me. I'm __ing cheap, though.

I don’t know how old you are but I assume I’m older than you because I am old. I used to be cheap and what I found out is I would end up spending more in the end because you get what you pay for and I would buy cheaper stuff two and three times. So I would save up for what I really wanted and get quality the first time. Good stuff lasts longer and holds value better.
It’s a Super Glide Custom and not a Street Bob. However, it has all top of the line stuff that stands the test of time. BTW I relocated the turn signals into the license plate frame and it looks like stock HD. They are literally inches further back than the stock location. Took a little bit of careful labor but well worth the effort. The Leatherpro bags are awesome.

Checked them out very good prices for sure but looking for saddles with more storage. What I saw was just solos smaller and battery cover storage. If i'm taking my bike up to Northern New Hampshire or Maine a back pack and full saddles for the weekend is what I usually have going, and perfect to unload those saddles and go pick up some brewskies for camping.
