I am in need of help from anyone who has installed the forwards on an 06 Streetbob.
I have the primary cover off and have finally got the inner primary cover off (after taking the starter off).
I am getting ready to put it back together and I noticed that I don't have anything to plug the hole in the back of the inner primary cover. You know the hole where you took the old shifter shaft out of.
Did you guys use something to plug it or am I missing something? I can't imagine leaving it open to collect dirt and stuff.
The little silver one that comes in the kit goes on the outside primary cover correct?
You dont have to worry bout that its ok if you look the outer primary is plugged ....... and there is a gasket that goes inbetween the 2 so nothing can get out. it doesnt get anything. kinda freeked me out too but i finnally fig it out

Isn't this your bike in your gallery with the forwards already installed?
If you go to the hardware store, for about .30 you can get a plastic one and for about .70 you can get a chrome one. It is in the section with the little tray boxes with the odd bolts and stuff. I am sure that nothing can get in as damadman said, but for .30, what the hell !
I put a piece of round delrin in mine it fills the tower up and nothing can get in. But you don't need anything really. Just make sure the tower gasket is in place.
