think i will wait thanks for the info . I will post when i get it straight . Im going to do the pc111 install myself . I am all done with that shop. Hope that the install isnt to hard. Looks pretty simple. I am good with a wrench but a wrench in one hand and my laptop in the other . Now that is new . But with all you guys in here helping i think it will get done Thanks alot
well here we go. I talked to my bike shop today and he said i have the right pc111 . He said he dosnt use the o2 eliminators becouse you dont need to . He said that the eliminator is just if you have bought pipes that dont have sensors.holes. and you need to plug the wire to keep constant currant. the map dowloaded eliminates the o2 sensors even tho they are still hooked up.He gave me the eliminaters, 9 volt hook up, cd , and usb cable. i didnt relize that the shop i go to dosnt gve you all that stufff becouse foras long as i own it they will put any maps in for me for free. So let me all know what you think . thanks all
steve
Not done with the page yet no info just pics. I just loaded a different map, it was easy. Some of the wire bundles may feel stiff but take your time and you can do it.
I think your shop is only partially correct. For best performance, which is achieved byeliminating the HD's ECM's closed loop feature, the O2 sensors should be disconnected and the O2 eliminators placed on the leads which runs from the ECM to the O2 sensors. You can leave the O2 sensors in the pipe or remove them and plug the hole with a bolt. But, if you're happy with the performance I'd say leave it alone. BTW - what map are you running - is it a canned map or did the shop dyno the bike for you and adjust the map based on the dyno results. I don't think there are any canned maps made to run properly with the O2 sensors still attached to the ECM.
Hmmm, So why did they not explain this to you before you left? Another thought, how many of those dam cables and such do they have?! Do they need to keep every single set they put in? See I just do not trust shops like this. Shady and un-respected if you ask me.
At least you have all your stuff. One thing you will want at a min. is a computer that you can download the software to and then upload a map from power commander, a laptop is the best of all to have because you can just take out to the bike, plug it in with the 9v adapter and adjust on the spot, or start the bike up and watch everything, just too cool.
Good Luck
