Hmmm, So why did they not explain this to you before you left? Another thought, how many of those dam cables and such do they have?! Do they need to keep every single set they put in? See I just do not trust shops like this. Shady and un-respected if you ask me.
At least you have all your stuff. One thing you will want at a min. is a computer that you can download the software to and then upload a map from power commander, a laptop is the best of all to have because you can just take out to the bike, plug it in with the 9v adapter and adjust on the spot, or start the bike up and watch everything, just too cool.
Good Luck
If it is still hooked to the bike you do NOT need the 9 volt, that is for removing the PCIII and taking it to the computer like this........
Mine was buried so deep under the seat there would have been no way to get to the USB port so removel was the better option, hell by the time I got it to where I could plug it in it was out.
the shop put the canned map in the bike as if it had the o2 eliminators. He said that that would cause it to eliminate the o2 sensors even tho they were still hooked up
I gotta think [sm=bs.gif]on that, from what I understand the o2 eliminators work in conjunction with the ECM they cause it to read that the A/F mixture is what it should be allowing the PCIII to do what it needs to do.
Didn't think of this but you should install the rev-extender. You do just what you did to change the map as far as hooking it up.
Pop in the CD, when it opens the window look for "Browse CD" click it then look for the "Extra" folder open that and you should find HD RevXtend folder, click that and ther should be a icon labled "RevXTend" that should be your install button click and follow instructions.
