I think most of us have this problem...I am 5'8" and the stock handlebars on my 2005 Lowrider set too far forward. I would like replace them with reduced reach type handlebars - minimal wiring problems...any suggestions? Thanks.
It's the same with stock seat, Sundowner Deep Bucket and my Corbin Hollywood Solo...I had the same problem with my'06Road King Classic but Harley makes a reduce reach handlebars (I purchased and installed) and solved the problem. I haven't seen a Harley replacement...
I installed bars off a 2001 Superglide on my 2005 Low Rider. Cables and wiring reach. The bars are about an inch higher and about 2 inches further back. Nice.
If you're looking at the 56330-00 Deuce bars, they'll work fine. I had a set on my 03 Wide Glide with the same pull back risers that are on a Low Rider. Your dealer is just telling you they won't work because the catalog only lists them for 00-07 FXSTD.The 56154-04 Softail Standard bars will come back quite a bit further than your stock bars as well. The Standard bars are a little narrower than the Deuce bars, butboth are similar as far as height and pullback.
The dimensions for the Deuce bars on Harleys website and cataloghave beenwrong for the past few years. From an old catalog, they are 31" wide, 10" base width, 5" rise and 9" pullback.
