A lot of the hate towards the Wide Glide is because of "handling", and the "skinny front tire" following road grooves..The handling is what it is . You learn the limits of the bike a go with it. And after putting a good quality tire on the front (Pirelli Night Dragon) , Road grooves and tar snakes are not noticed at all..
I really like all eras and iterations of the Wide Glide. I've observed a lot of snobbery regarding the 2010 and up versions, but I like them all. I even got into a discussion with a guy about the newer ones, and he said that the new ones shouldn't be named Wide Glide because they weren't, they had the wrong rear fender. I said "gee, ya think the wide glide front end has anything to do with the name?
Anyway, even though I like them all, the original shovel Wide Glide is still my favorite, and still my favorite factory Harley, at least out the all the bikes they've built in my lifetime.
Wide Glide hate....never heard that before. Love my 03.
I am also on a few Dyna pages on Facebook. Seems like a ton of them rag on the FXDWG and post memes ragging it. Just curious if it was a widespread thing or just the douches on FB.

its the internet man, take it all with a grain of salt. 🤟
I gotcha man. Just nice to find a place I can ask questions and what not without the bs remarks cause I like and own a Wide. I appreciate the hospitality so far.

I had one and the handling is why i sold it . Lowrider handles much better .
