Hey all! I just got me a 2007 FXDL and I am going to be adding some risers and high bars. I am looking at about a 14" change. Does anyone happen to know if the stock cables will work? If not, can you recommend any kit that you think is good quality? I know there is Burly Brand and Gerilla Cables, Both seem reputable but want to see if anyone has any experience with the install and input on reliability and ease?
You will need cables, lines and wire extensions for anything over 12. Just did 16's with 34 width on my 2011 FXDC using the burly kit for 16" bars, everything worked out great. You will also want poly riser bushings, transmission oil, and a transmission cover gasket. Hope that helps.
Gorgeous bike. Thank you for the info that helps tremendously. Have not found a guide online so the transmission oil and gasket helps a ton. What will that be for? Clutch cable Im assuming?

Yes, you will drain the transmission and remove the cover to replace the clutch cable.
You sure you have to drain it? When I changed my slave cylinder on my bagger (leaned over on its jiffy stand) all I lost was a couple tablespoons...?
Of course mines a 2020 so things may have changed LOL...
I suppose a drain isn't required. The gasket and "some" oil will be. I chose to pull the drain and change the oil in the process, I'd rather it pour out the drain than down the frame lol.

Just for anyone who cares, these are great. Stuff one under anything that will drip and no more drip... I use them all the time when working around fluids.
