I'm 5'5" and 120lbs soaking wet. When I sat on the 2011 SB for the first time, the shocks didn't even move. I ended up doing Progressive 12" 412's with a 1" lowering block (I bough the 12" by mistake). I also did a Progressive drop in fork lowering kit and cut the spacer to 1 inch (effectively lowering the forks 2 inches). I also swapped the stock seat for the Super Reach from H-D (it was the only reach seat they had). My biggest problem I keep running into are handlebars. I can't for the life of me find a set of bars that are comfortable for all over riding. The stock 10"apes are just enough to make sure my wrists cramp all the time. I've had a custom set made, and after a week, same result. I finally just swapped to a stock set of Nightster bars and that seems to work ok. All in all, the whole bike feels like a rigid. It sucks. It sucks for commuting everyday. It sucks for long trips. It sucks for short trips. Maybe that's just my bike though. Riding 2 up seems to help, as my wife ads an additional 80lbs. But the one time we did that, hit a pothole at freeway speeds and the bike bottomed out so bad, that the screw that holds in the seat actually dug a gash into the rear tire, and the rear fender actually smashed into the rear brake MC causing the fender to bend. But hey, here's to being short!

My bike had the front controls when I bought it; no mids. I was hanging onto the pegs with the ball of my foot. I made my own reduced reach controls that moved the pegs back 1.5 inches and up .25 inches. That helped. I am also ordering a custom seat from Sick Saddles to move me forward an inch. Can't wait for that. Two more things. I loosened the clamps on the forks and let the tubes slide up to just short of touching the handle bars; that got me about .25 inches. Then I pulled back the 18 inch apes about 3 inches. I actually like the apes because they give me more leverage on the bike in general. That gives more the feel of more control, especially during those time when you lean the bike over a little too far and have to wrestle it back up.

 

I was fine on my '06 Street Bob. I traded it in for a '08 Wide Glide and had a hard time keeping my feet on the pegs at highway speeds. I'm 5'9", 30" inseam.
I used the 1" lowering blocks and it helped. Eventually I got rid of the football air cleaner and replaced it with just a flat cover. Made all the difference in the world not having to bend my leg around to reach that brake pedal.

 

5'7, 30" inseam. You'll have no problem riding any Dyna. I just have a little problem pushing my bike over the lumps, bumps and dips in my driveway!
Less problem when I'm wearing proper shoes as mentioned by others.
I just bought some used Wide Glide shocks (chrome covered springs)
From ebay cheap to lower the bike slightly. Havent installed them yet

 

5'8" 29" Inseam Like my Dyna just like it is, and still scrape now and then .. Adding the Mustang Seat made it a bit taller but the comfort is worth it ..

 

I'm 5'7" with a 29" inseam and with a 1.75" lowering kit my feet are comfortably planted flat on the ground. Before the lowering kit riding the bike was no problem-I couldn't flat foot it though...the ***** of my feet were what was touching the ground.
