...I'am thinking about doing a 2inch or 4inch over on my bob...
Thanks Eno
Let me know if you ever do it, how much it cost youand how easy it was because, I want to add 2 or4 inches on my Bob next spring and I also want to change the tripple trees for wider WG ones.
I have just recently put 2" slugs on mine. I love it! I'm hoping to do 4" over forks in the future but the slugs were readily available and only took a half our to put on.
My last bike was a Yamaha V-Star 1100 Classic that had 4" slugs.

Talk to me about the slugs, is this something different? I am looking at the 2" extension can you please explain.
I'm not sure where to get them.I helped my dad put a set on his VTX. It's damn near a two man job trying to get them screwed into the top of the fork w/o burning the palm of your hand out,but its a whole lot easier (and cheaper I would assume) than replacing the whole tube.
Been thinkin about this myself along with rakin out the trees 3deg and going with a larger front hoop.
in my humble opinion slugs are not the way to go, think about it, fork tubes that are 2-4 inches longer then stock, or stock tubes with slugs screwed in to lengthen them, we all know screwed connection are not as strong as the one piece item. I know I'm stepping on toes here, but way back when, slugs were know to snap right at the connection..
