With what i've read here on the forums and in this thread, it seems like I could go with either the 21, 26, 37, or 48 and probably be happy. Just though to narrow it down to the specific one that will be the most bang for my buck.

I’m getting the feuling 525 for my 88”. I think I have the same criteria as you, getting out of a turn quicker and a stronger low end pull. The 525 is what was recommended for my engine and it was made specially for the 88s. I really don’t care about the peak hp, just the fun power. Swap out your pipes, those will hold you back. 2-1 pipes are what you’re looking for imo.

a friend of mine had the 525’s in his 07 dyna. He loved them. To be honest I was trying to get off a little cheaper with the Andrews cams. I can get them for almost $100 less than the feuling ones. As far as the pipes go, I keep battling with that thought. I know I’ll get better performance and power out of the 2in1’s but I love the sound and the look of the short shots. But you are right that would definitely help me out to go that way.

So I’ve been doing a bunch more reading and here’s what I’m thinking, hopefully someone with some experience with these cams will chime in and let me know if my thoughts are correct?
for as much as the 48 cam sound fun, I’m thinking they might be more towards the high end? I have no tach on my bike so it’ll be hard to say where I spend most of my time.
The 21 sounds like it would be an improvement but not sure it’ll be enough?
So looks like I’m looking at either the 26 or 37? Anyone willing to chime in on which would be better for an 88cu? Or if I’m not thinking straight and one of the others would be better?

Ok just to throw another wrench in the gears. I called Andrews today to get their opinion on cams and they’re saying I should do the 57H? Anyone with any opinions or experience with those?

Here’s the specs for the 57H, someone correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t think the stock 88 inch valve springs can handle the lift of these cams, they were designed for the 96/103/110 engines. Your best bet without swapping valve springs or doing head porting might be the fueling cam mentioned above or the Andrews 26 or 37.

According to Andrews the 06 dynas have the same heads as the 07 and up 96cu bikes so the lift shouldn’t be an issue. At least thats what he told me.

I didn’t know the 06’s had the better heads. Good news for you!

Ok so I got the 57H cams in on Andrews recommendation, and will be installing them soon, so we'll see how they are?
Also as I look at the bike currently I realize its halfway apart and not much further to go if I wanted to bore the cylinders and go up to a 98"? I've read up a little on it, my question is would it be worth the price for the gain achieved, and would it work well with the 57H cams I have?

. Stock 88 springs are good to .590
.560 is not a problem
