Crazy? Not at all! I went back to a Dyna from a touring bike two years ago...I have a '14 Street Bob, and I have those exact shocks in the back. Be aware that they ride rough...looks great lowered in the back, feels like doo doo. Like you said that seat will not do you any favors either. I went with a LaPera kickflip on mine and its great! Still has the sleek look but with all the support I need. I finally got a replacement set 12.5" progressive's....will be throwing them on over the winter when I get a chance!
And I just did it again!!! I traded in my Dyna on my newly acquired 2016 Fatboy S.....do what feels good!!!!

I guess if you're going to get a new bike now's the Time to do it Market is low, good luck with that Fatboy S.. I hear they're pretty decent actually..
Because it is winter time, the dealer and I agreed to trade allowance. This week they will complete the forward controls install on the Dyna and then deliver to my house and pick up the Road King.
* Do I take off the LePera Daytona Sport (actually a solo seat) and put the OEM Seat which is meant for a passenger? Seems the typical buyer may want to carry a passenger.
* The same thing applies to the Tinted Windshield. Do I put in the OEM Windshield? Better wind protection for a passenger.
I could sell the LePera seat and tinted windshield!
I concerned they may call me out on getting the bike to their dealership without those two items as depicted in the photos I supplied.

I want to do the righthing. Thoughts?
Yeah that's the kicker right there. They saw it that way and agreed to it as depicted. Your best bet would be to ask them. Or, switch them out and when they call you on it play dumb and give them up.
