Anybody remember off hand what the stock HP and torque numbers are on the 06s. I just got back from the shop and ended up with 72hp and 75.5 torque with Shortshots and an SE AC. I'm pretty satisfied vs. the numbers I had with the first map I had for this set up. The guys also got rid of 99+% of the decel pop. I know that you get better performance from other pipes but, all and all, okay ....for now.
Kool, I have been looking at that one and the Thundermax but Got to wait alitlle bit maybe after the season I'll get some pipes and a mangement system.
Your torque and horse power numbers are correct for the modifications that you have. Obviously some will show lower and some will show higher, but yours are certainly in the, âhey thatâs good range.â
Thanks. Its good to hear that from someone. I've spent hours searching the forums reading about these pipes. Based on what others have said, I didn't expect anything amazing but, for the price of the pipes (combined w/the looks and sound) I didn't think it turned out to bad. I'm planning (read : saving up) for a 95" kit after the first of the year. Then I'll be looking for some much better numbers. No matter what the print out says, the bike runs great and doesn't pop any more. Glad I did it, without reading some of the great posts here on the subject, I might not have.
stock 06... 88 TC, my read out was 58.24 hp and 66.24 max torque....Your right on the money with your dyno tune,,, I avg, in the 70"S ...with stage I and reinharts.
With the 95TC upgrade,, be sure to ask about redoing the heads as well.... my dealer was suggesting them as well.. you should ask them about it when you do the whole deal to be sure your happy with the end result for the $$$ spent... also the Cams.
You all are making me feel better and better. I had no idea that the stock numbers were that low. I remember reading them somewere but didn't have time to go out and look it up. I thought they were a bit higher. I was getting 66hp and 71 tq before w/ a Fuel Moto map. Glad to see I'm in line w/ were I should be.
