Upon further inspection it looks like there’s some damage on the splines. I’m hoping I can file it down and it will work. Not sure what else to do. It doesn’t look to bad i think. Never messed with it this far in.

If you have a small ballpeen hammer, the material can be moved on OD to side. Move it where it belongs carefully. Shaft is soft. Just near edges. Not on OD near center.

It rotor will rotate back and forth slightly on spline, it will tend to do that on hard acceleration or engine braking. This tends to shuck spline or loosen compensator nut.

Also, that spacer sleeve can be pulled off and slid on in opposite direction and get a new on size area where it runs in seal.

Replace seal if it looks damaged or hard.

Would be ok to file down the burrs and then put the spacer on reversed? I’m not sure I could get a hammer in there.

Just use a 3/16" or so pin punch on sides. Even on OD near edges if you don't have a small ball peen as I have show above. . Then, try the rotor. I would only file if necessary. And then only with a file jewelers or toolmakers file. If your's careful, you won't have to file. That 10 B spline on the shaft and the rotor are soft. And that crank is big bucks replacement.

Thank you for the advice. I’ll have to get some tools on the way home tonight. I appreciate all the knowledge being passed.
