Tire Size

Hey everyone. I have an 06 Street Bob that is factory. I picked up a cut in the side wall of my rear tire. Im kinda down on my luck and my friend has a tire that he thinks would work. My bike has a 160/70/17 on there from the factory and he has a 180/60/17....does anybody know if this tire would work before i order a tube and wheel strip? Thanks in advance!!

What's the size of your rear wheel? Four or 4.5"? A 180 is typically on a 5" wheel or bigger.

Measure the tire / fender clearance on your existing tire
If you have 1/2" per side the extra 10mm per side of 180 will leave you one tenth " clearance + or -

Same with the belt / tire spacing

I believe the wide glide comes with a 180 rear tire and 4.5” rim. Along with tires like the OEM scorcher 31 and Pirelli Night dragons are made to be run on a 4.5” wide OEM Harley wheel/ rim.
