Default Low rider s speed screen / fairing on a 2010 Dyna street bob

Hello.

I have a 2010 Dyna Street Bob, and my cheap quarter fairing is starting to crack, so it's time for a new one.

I was thinking on a Dyna Low Rider S speed screen.
I had my oem top tree machined to fit t-bars, but the front part wasn't flattened out like it is in the photo.
I already know that I will have to drill the tree, but will the upper bracket fit due to tree not be flattened out?

It also seems that the Softail low rider s fairing have the same part number, but the upper and lower brackets are different. If I put de dyna lower bracket would it fit on my street bob?
I'm asking because I've found more softail screens than dyna for sale and in better condition.

Are there other models that share this oem speed screen?

Thanks.

Why not just get a Memphis shades cafe fairing? A little bigger, a lot better looking, easy to remove and no drilling?

Doesn’t all the bracketry for the speed screen on the dyna low rider S mount off the bracket that gets sandwiched between the lower triple tree and headlight riser block? At least that’s what I’m seeing from the parts diagram.

but as stated, if you’re doing it for looks go for it, but if you’re looking for some wind protection as well I’d look into something else like the Memphis cafe or gauntlet. And they look better than the speed screen too IMO.

Thanks for the suggestion, that was my second option.
Since I dont have the tools to lift the bike, remove the top tree and drill it, it is more cost effective to buy the memphis shades cafe and install it myself, than it is to buy a used low rider s fairing and pay someone else to do the job.

There two brackets, one that goes to the headlight block and another one that bolts into the lower part of the top triple tree.

It's mainly for look, since it has 12" t-bars, I prefer the looks with some small fairing than without anything.

Thanks, I'm going to buy the memphis shades cafe fairing.

Nice looking bike.
That gives me an idea of how it will look.
Do you also have a photo of the front?
Do you recommend using the headlight extension block?

Sorry brother, that's all I got. That photo is from 2016. I'm using the new HD Softail quarter fairing on my LRS now.

Some like those blocks, I never bothered. The recessed lens looks fine to me. It's a matter of personal preference I guess.

Good luck!

I highly recommend the headlight extension block. Mostly for looks, but it also keeps the very edges of the light beam from being cut off. Also keeps the headlight a little more visible to other drivers who arent coming at you head on.

here’s what my cafe fairing looks like with the headlight extension block.
