I get 7 years out of Harley. So I get harley, I don't do lithium due to price, and I get such good life out of Harley. Out of 7 worse I did was 5.
For me it is just easy to go to a dealer and get one. I am not a buy harley guy either.
So I was hearing about lithium... how much of a price difference are we talking about here, generally speaking? And is there a performance / life expectancy difference? I mean, if it was double the price but lasted 2-3x as long, then......
I mean, I could look obviously but I wouldn't know a good price from a not so good one on those. They were just barely a thing last time I've been on the battery market.

4 or 5 year old battery on a barely ridden bike? I'll put my lunch money on the battery is bad. 4 or 5 years with optimal conditions is a good life for a motorcycle battery...yours has given you what you paid for.
Yuasa and Deka (East Penn) are within spitting distance of each other. Coincidence?
Yuasa's parent company is in Japan, and they have manufacturing facilities around the world. I believe they have a large facility in Australia...
Don't know if it's a coincidence, but Yuasa has a manufacturing facility in Laureldale, PA where many of their PowerSports batteries are made.
From their website:
"Yuasa Battery, Inc. has been manufacturing motorcycle batteries in the U.S.A. to uncompromisingly high standards since 1979. Most of the large capacity Powersports batteries are manufactured in our Laureldale, PA plant. All other Powersports batteries are produced in a Yuasa state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in various countries throughout the world. Each Yuasa facility follows the same rigorous manufacturing processes to ensure the highest Yuasa quality standards are met.We are the largest American manufacturer and the largest distributor of batteries for motorcycles, snowmobiles, scooters, all-terrain vehicles and personal watercraft."
