Tires are in so going on tomorrow. My dad didnt ride the bike since 2013 after his stroke and it sat in his garage till he passed in 2019, I havent put more than 100 miles on it since and basically just around town as the tires were hard and dated 2010, looking forward to fresh hoops and being able to put miles on that it deserves, I know he is smiling up there.
Looks like an excellent time to replace that 18-year-old rear motor mount. It's next to impossible to get at with the rear wheel mounted.
@Snake Eyes & @John CC Thanks for the input, I''l check all my dad's receipts and see if either was ever done or if it is needed. I have about 3/4" thick stack of receipts as my dad kept everything and everything orderly, including handwritten notes on them that the techs remarked on. Bike has 52k on it and at 32k (about 2009) he had a 95" kit put in it and aftermarket cams. Tires only had about 2k on them but as I noted earlier they were aged out with 2010 date codes. Cycle Gear had them back to me within 3 hours or I should say I picked them up. Mounting cost was only the $10 disposal as he said I bought them during a special they were running, free mount & balance, putting them on when I get home tonight or first thing in the am.
