Started up my bike this morning and it was fine. As I was pulling out of my driveway, it "skipped" - the electronics shut off then immediately came back on, my power vision restarted, and the engine stopped and immediately restarted and over revved. It did this three more times before I turned it around and took it home. The check engine and battery lights came on as I was pulling into the garage. Has anyone experienced this before? If so, what was the issue? Trying to wrench it myself before I take it to the dealer.
Thanks in advance!
Chris

Well IF yer "Trying to wrench it myself before I take it to the dealer," run a Diagnostic Scan for ERROR CODES is a damn good place to start. Make sure not to SKIP that 1st step. LMAO, sorry, I just couldn't help my self.

Still learning the Power Vision processes. Will start there when I get home.

So the PV gave me these DTCs:
ECM:P0562 HIST
Battery Voltage Low EFI
Speedometer:B1006 HIST
Accessory Line Overvoltage
Instruments
Did some online research and it looks like I need to check my voltage regulator and/or stator. Looks relatively easy (he lied to himself once again).
I would start, as others have said, with the battery cables. Especially if they are the original cables, I would remove them, clean them (sandpaper, steel wool etc to get bright metal surfaces for good electrical connection), then tighten them down...
Re your error code, in my experience at least, they to be the wiring associated with the part the code is pointing to (ie not the itself). Check your wiring and plugs in/out of your stator, before you buy a new one (I've done it several times myself, only to find that it was a dirty plug, or a shorted wire, not the part...).
