Hey all, going from 16" apes to 12" raked T-Bars. I know for sure that the cables/brake line has been extended but I have no idea how long. The only numbers I can find was on the clutch cable and it says "2102-217BURLYBRAND20150511"..
That being said, do you think my existing cables will be too long or will I be able to get away with using them?
Damn, would it hurt to run these cables or just look goofy? Hopefully the bars are in tomorrow or Monday and I will try the install.
Sure, try it out first. Whether or not it looks goofy is up to you and if you are OK with the looks, have at it. Just make sure that there's no chance of something becoming a real problem with them being too long.

Will do, I will update sometime next week. Thank you
Just make sure they're not going to kink or catch on something. If they look goofy you can change them out when you get a chance, and ride in the meantime.

Yeah, that's exactly what I meant. John CC was just much more clear about it than me.
So got the bars on (PITA!!!).. Between depinning, soldering, then I pinched/skimmed some wires and had to chase some shots they are ON!!!
The throttle cables are pretty damn long and stick out more than I like. I called my local dealer and asked if they had STOCK cables. To my surprise they did in stock... They wanted $63 out the door for both. Did not realize they were so cheap....
I asked them if they would fit the 12" T bars and they said they could not confirm that... Should I roll the dice and gamble $63 for OEM cables or just but a whole cable kit for $229 from Burly? The brake line I think I can live with, and the clutch cable is long as well and they have them as well in stock for ($43)
So basically i am trying to figure out if I can get stock length CLUTCH and THROTTLE cables and they be long enough. IF they would be I would save about $100 butttt if they dont fit I doubt I can return them..
