2006 intermittent stalling
I have a 2006 FXDI with the 88 efi that every once in a while will stall coming to a stop. Starts right back up but a stoplight or two later will stall again.
Honestly, I really haven’t ridden the bike much. My son has been riding it and experienced the stall several times on our last ride.
I plan to pull the throttle body soon and will clean it up paying special attention to the iac motor and passages.
Is there anything else common to this bike that I should be looking at that would cause it to stall at an idle?
The bike used to belong to my father (who passed away last year) and I don’t know anything about its history. The bike did come from sea level and know spends its time at 5,000+ feet of elevation if that makes a difference.
Thanks in advance for thoughts and suggestions.

My former 1982 FXS Shovelhead did the same thing when I bought it used in 1992. It would start and run well at lower speeds but anything over 60 miles per hour and it would stall and quit. Then after waiting a few minutes, it would start and run OK again.
I traced the problem to a dirty fuel tank that was clogging the fuel tap. It would permit enough fuel through to run at lower speeds but not for higher speeds. A previous owner had used some fuel tank liner over rust and it was coming off in flakes. I spent a bit of time cleaning out the tank by inserting several handfuls of stove nuts and shaking the tank for an hour or so. Once the liner was gone all was well.
I'd check your tank and fuel filter. YMMV

+1 on cleaning the IAC & intake.
The crankcase vents into the intake, which results in a thin film of oil on the butterfly and on the IAC sensor.
Pull your air cleaner and wipe the inside of your intake down with a clean cloth.
Then look in the intake “throat” and you’ll see a small hole at about the 12:00 position; short a bunch of MAF/carb cleaner in there and you’ll see a difference on your next ride.
I was doing this every 1,500-2,000 miles before I modified the venting to a catch can.
It hasn’t happened once since that change.

My buddy's 2007 Fat Boy was having issues with idling at stops. I got a can of throttle body cleaner and cleaned out the throttle body and IAC. Very easy to do. Also checked the movement of the butterfly in the throttle body. He had changed the grips and over tightened the throttle thumb screw, not knowing what it was, him being a newbie. His issues are fixed.

I've seen coils do this when coasting or at idle. Will ohm good. Also agree about IAC cleaning. Though you didn't seem to hear about that as much on 88s.
When my IAC needs cleaning I noticed it start to dip when coasting to stop never stalles at idle. Coming down from speed is when mine stalls
