Hey guys, first off for some reason I had to create a new account cause I couldn't login and I couldn't do a password reset. Tried many times and finally gave up.
Anyway with that out the way I need some help with a clutch issue.
I have a 2000 Dyna Super Glide, I installed a new clutch pack. Did all the adjustments, tried my clutch lever and it was extremely hard to pull. Did the same adjustments again, loosen the cable, re adjusted the adjuster screw till it lightly touched, did half turn back. Tried my clutch lever and it was still really hard to pull. Then all of a sudden something kinda popped and my lever went completely loose like I had backed the cable off. Tried adjusting the cable and I can turn the cable all the way till it's just about un threaded and the lever still has slack in it. I pulled the the trans cover off to see what was happening and see if I rotate ball and ramp down, there's tension at the lever but then the ball and ramp will jump and lose all the tension at the lever again. I've never had this kind of issue before and need some help figuring it out cause I have no idea. Worked fine before minus needing a new clutch pack, so damned if I know.
If there's a way to load a vid, I have a short vid I can show.

oh yeah ok. That one is fine.
This is such a strange problem.
Im gonna make a detailed video tomorrow and post so everyone can see exactly what Im talking about.
hopefully shed a bit more light to the issue.
I am interested in what you find out. I am having problems adjusting the excessive slack on my clutch cable. I've done all the adjustments on the clutch pack as called for in the manual. I still have excessive play on the lever, of about 1/2 in. The book refers to pulling the lever and verifying that the "***** are seated in the ramps" but I don't know how to do that. Maybe you can teach me. Thx
