Well guys, after taking your advice I decided to tackle the turn signal relocation myself, undid the two tank bolts, lifted the tank up a bit and fitted the kit without too many probs (not sure about the way they look though!).
Put it all back together and in order to get the loom cover tabs back in I lifted the tank a little bit more and guess what? I snapped the f***ing qd on the fuel line[:@]!!!! gas everywhere and a bike I can't ride until next weekend now[:@]
Butdo the directionals work? replace the fuel crossover and your still getting out cheaper than if the stealer did it...Plus now you know how far you can lift the tank before the quick connect breaks....Dude the Glass is half full
Live and learn, I have done things like this more often then not, but like dailydriver stated you got off cheaper then if had had a dealer do it.
I have also had the dealer do things like this on mine. That pi$$e$ me off even more then if I brake something.

Sunday, I decided to go after installing my Drag Specialties layback license plate holder and turn signal relocation kit. Now, I had been working graveyard in a timezone 2 hours away all week, and flew in Saturday after working Friday night. I couldn't get to sleep and wen out into the garage (insert scary splatter-flick music). Been up 26 hours, took a two hour nap.
I needed to cut the leads to my turn signals. I remember thinking "ok, measure 3-4 times, think this through..." I had about three choices; cut near the light, cut in the middle, cut back toward the harness. I cut in the middle - mistake.
In the long run, it all worked out. A little crimping, some heat shrink, a cable tie, all seems well. It works, no sign of rubbing on the tire or anything. Sometimes, you just gotta break stuff to learn how to not break stuff.
