That's for a 2007 six speed. They changed the mainshaft in 2008 and up six speeds. Put a micrometer on the transmission shaft where the race would be. Also measure the ID of that new race.
I assume that you mean this race, 34091-08? I would suggest trying an OEM race from HD. Is the transmission shaft scarred up now? The Drag Specialty race is no doubt an import, and maybe not that high of quality.
What you are being told (good advice by Ohio HD) is to get an OEM inner race because the ones you are using/ordered are not correct.
Get the correct part and all should be good. You can also use red loctite on the inner race to shaft keep it from walking, but only if you use the correct one.
