Default Trans to Crankcase Bolts

Planning on swapping the 4 stock bolts out for 12pt ARP's. I wouldn't think there'd be any issue in doing them one at a time and torquing as I go but thought I'd see what the expert engine guys say. Bike info is in my signature.

No expert but I don’t see a problem with one at a time. Nothing should move around since it will effectively be locked in place still.

Damn I got on both of your threads today, sorry. That is exactly what I did on my Dyna. I have never had any problems.

Yeah me too, I don't think it's worth the risk.

There are dowels to keep the case aligned but there's a small risk of causing a leak. The case halves are put together with a sealant similar to silicone. The integral seal between the engine and trans is pretty robust, so no worries there.
