Just got back from our first overnight trip on the WG about an hour ago... it was pretty cool. The wife didn't enjoy it nearly as much as I did. I need to keep working on the seat for her... time for some custom foam shaping and perhaps a gel pad.
We did 610 miles, which is no long distance marathon by any means... but we had the T-Bag Tahoe Expandable on the back, fully packed. Everything went really well, the T-Bag held more than enough, didn't have any mechanical problems, no "near hits" on the road.. all good.
We didn't really take a lot of pictures, but we hit some really nice parts of Oregon. From Vancouver, WA. we took the long way to get to Eugene the first day. That day was miserable because we hit Labor Day traffic... took three hours to go 75 miles (literally).
On Saturday, from Eugene, we went over the Cascades to Sunriver (a resort just south of Bend).
Spent Sunday by the pool... then today we came up the East side of the Cascades, into Hood River, then came back into Vancouver along Hwy 14 through the Columbia Gorge.
My '05 WG hummed along the whole way, it was great!!
