I ran three sets of the Harley branded Dunlops, Set of Metzeler and now a set of Mitchlins.
Now mine is a Softail and my riding style is smell the roses... The Mitchlins rode better, handled just as good, and at the recommended tire pressure felt so much smoother, it's uncanny.

American Elite are pretty good tires. And a lot of people also like the Shenko tires. Theyre cheaper than most other brands, but also dont last as long.

I run Bridgestone on my 2002 Dyna, seems to work well, they did not need any balancing weights and run completely smooth at over 100 mph, and I rarely go faster than that.
Every Avon tire I have ever used has developed dry cracks in the sidewalls after max two years. Maybe just bad luck, but Im not buying that brand again.
