My only concern with that giant throttle body is low end performance. Its been my understanding (which could be wrong) is that giant intakes will hurt low end torque due to low flow velocity. Anyone else heard of that? Or is it internet hogwash.
I hope not, because that's what I'm after. I'm not a high-rev rider.

Very interested in the dyno sheet.
I think I may have mentioned that they were W888's somewhere in the thread, but they're actually 777's.

It won't.. The issue occurs when the intake is carbed.. The problem with a carb is that the intake signal becomes too weak to pull gas. EFI does not have that problem.. The only problem you might have with the bigger intake is a light bike becomes twitchy at low speeds.. A good dyno tuner can probably take that out.. FBW efi has the advantage that it can be adjusted.
Pretty small and boring update today. Cometic exhaust gaskets were supposed to be here yesterday. USPS pretty much never shows up before about 4pm, but wouldn't you know they "attempted" to deliver at 11am yesterday when the entire neighborhood was under 8+ inches of snow. I hate to say it, but sometimes it really does seem like they do **** like that on purpose. I mean think about it, they can just drive through their route and go right past all the mailboxes and driveways that aren't clear yet and mark them all "attempted", it'd make for a pretty quick and easy day.
But I digress. I got the air cleaner and tank back on and figured I'd do some paint correction since I know what I'm doing now, and it won't take long.

Yep, even with my 124 hot rod I still putt around like an old man. Getting near time to trade it in on another bagger...
Well, the exhaust gaskets are supposedly in my mailbox so it looks like I might be able to do some heat cycling this weekend. I could have sworn I read somewhere about priming the engine by pulling the plugs and running the starter a few times but now I can't find it. Any advice on that?

Just jack up the rear wheel and put it in 6th. (Plugs out of course unless you really like a workout) Turn the wheel over a dozen or 20 times. That will get the oil pump filled enough to get oil flowing quick enough when you start it. That’s what I’ve done on my last 2 builds.
You could run the starter if you want but I always did it by hand.

I spun the rear wheel by hand probably 1/2 dozen times, man that is a PITA! Just to ease my OCD I'm going to run the starter a bit too. I'm going to pull the plugs, and disconnect the coil, that should cover any potential parts damage, I think. I wish there was a way to disable EFI.
