FWIW, That is an 18mm narrow band sensor and the new ones have their own heaters (4wire) which like means they don't have to sit out in the exhaust flow as much as the 2 wire ones.
Looks like I be wrong about the size.. For sure, it's 4 wire.. If there is an 18-14 adapter it could be out of the flow..
Steve cole gets all wound up on this. 10 Years ago it was his pet peeve. He went through the Vtwin expo and pointed out all the pipes that were manufactured wrong. Guys like Rinehart and Vance & Hines.
I felt like sitting at the workbench and enjoying a cigar and Bourbon on Christmas day so just light work today. To the wiring cleaned up, patched were necessary with the paint on "electrical tape" which works great btw, everything is rewrapped in split loom and tied down with appropriately sized zip-ties. 2nd pic shows everything fished into the bars and the replacement male plug-in place on the single ignition wire. Hopefully Brown Santa will show up with a box from Dennis Kirk soon that had my new solid riser bushings in it, then I can start putting things together. Still need to get the spacers off the Thunderheader bracket and pull the plugs for a look see.
EDIT: Man, do I ever love me some MX bars. If I hadn't have been such a fat-*** as a kid, I would've been out ripping with the BMX kids

I bought a set of 10" mini apes from a forum member here that had the cutouts to hide all the control wiring.. Will be doing that on my Fatboy.. it's a Nice bench work upgrade.. Good for the back..👍
Got some new parts today, TC Bros solid fork bushings and of course the ARP's to go along with them. Hoping to get out to the shop tonight, maybe finishing removing the Thunderheader bracket and pulling the plugs for a peek.
Before mounting up the new T-Sport fairing I decided to clean up the triple trees, the finish on them was looking really rough. Got out my handy, dandy Adams gear that I used last winter to paint correct and quickly realized that I've been using the wrong head/throw on my machine, got that sorted out and the machine dialed in and man, the trees look nearly new, the pictures don't do them justice.
Started getting the new risers and bars mocked up now that the wiring is done. I'm digging the look and having the bars closer to me by an 1" I think is going to make a big difference. Height should be the same as the West Cost MX T-bars they're replacing. Just from the ground I can tell they are more rigid, the West Cost one-piece bars always had some rotational movement in them just by design. Original Garage always does an outstanding job on design, and their CNC work is top notch, my only concern is that the PV can't be removed from the bike without tools and some time. I rarely take it off or leave the bike in sketchy situations so it shouldn't be a problem, just something to get used to I guess.
The trees look great.. Not familiar with the machine/tool your talking about..
Here's a pic from last year, it's a DA mini polisher. I think the heads are 2" or so. The head I had on last winter was a 3mm throw and I got okay results, I switched to the proper 12mm and rocked it out fast.
