Just Another Black Dyna 110 Build
Interesting that you ask that, I've never really done build threads (this is my first) but I looked back and my Brembo journey is in several different threads here, this is probably the most important one though Can't get it firm, is it too big or too small? - Harley Davidson Forums
I am running 3 GP4-RS calipers on Kraus brackets front and back, with stock rotors. Brake lines are custom made from Galfer with a Galfer distribution block in the front. The main problem with the install is that the Harley 11/16 master is not big enough. Tons of guys ride with it and have no problem, but for me it felt like crap. You'll see all the back and forth in the thread I linked. Ultimately, I went with a Brembo RC19 (19mm bore) master in front which is what Brembo recommends for running the 8 30mm pistons up front. It works perfectly and the install wasn't bad. You will need a new brake switch from KurveyGirl - Normally Open Micro Switch (110A-SWITCH-OPEN). I don't get to ride much, a combination of my life and living in MN so I will say that after 2 seasons I'm still trying to get used to the performance.
For the rear master I am using the stock HD unit that was on the bike, I don't remember how big the bore is. The performance of the rear might be slightly better than stock, but I knew that going in and will be swapping the rear master for a Pan American Brembo unit, which I believe is a 17mm, see below.
My goal with this bike is to build it to do anything and more than I want it to. I'm getting a little long in the tooth and tight in the joints so I'm not doing hooligan ****, but if I want to push it through some twists or make a scene from stop light to stop light, I want the only limiting factor to be me, It was not a cheap upgrade but super satisfying to make everything work the way it should. I also didn't think I'd like the look of the master, but I really do love it now. To me, the performance (and looks) are totally worth it.
Figured I throw a quick update in here. Waiting till 4/3 is KILLING ME! It's going to be 75 here today! While the Dyna sits patiently, I started giving the wife's M8 some love. I'll tell you, I really do like her bike, it does everything well but it's just not me. It feels really small, but I suppose that contributes to the 114 just being an *** tearer. One thing I will say is that EVERYTHING I've done to her bike has been a PITA.I don't know why exactly, probably because it's so compact and they really have pushed the boundaries of 10lb of **** in a 5lb sack. The new shop manuals are better written and organized, although there is a lot more page flipping from sub-system to sub-system. I'm setting her up with OG Moto 6.5 pullback risers and an ODI Mid Podium bar and cruise-control to get rid of the stock setup which we can't get adjusted to her. You can see in these 2 pics what's had to come apart just for bars and risers. I can't really bitch though, 'cause I love it.

Excellent upgrade and the execution is impressive.
I used to live in North Georgia and spent years in the mountains and participated in some track days. Last bike there was a 2017 aprilia Tuono Factory.
Braking performance is paramount for me. Now in Southern Indiana.
Oh, will be 71 this summer, the desire hasn't faded to ride.
Best regards

The U-Haul trailer worked great and was actually easy to load and unload and of course the guys at FuelMoto were top notch and super friendly. I had a good time hanging out and shooting the **** with them and wish I could have stayed longer.
On the dyno
My poor baby!!!
And the result.
So, if you made it this far, 115/131 and I am super stoked! I had an interesting talk with Bob, and they feel I could get 120/131 easy but the chain drive, due to the added weight brought my number down. At that point, it's just bragging rights to me, I'll likely never (or very rarely) see 5700 so 5 more horse doesn't mean anything to me. I also asked about replacing my pipe since I wouldn't mind getting a shorter 2-1 and the consensus was that the difference wouldn't be worth the cost.
I am super happy with how everything turned out and am blessed that my build went so smoothly and was airtight. The next thing is going to be to knock 1" of height off the front and back, I wish I could do it now, but it'll likely have to be the next winter project.
Now, if it'd just warm up!
