Just because you are using adjustable pushrods, it doesn't mean you can't pull your rocker boxes if you want to...
It would save you the trouble of cutting the OEM, one-piece pushrods. You can just pull them out the top, and have a set of spare OEM pushrods.....
Obviously as you state you pull the rocker boxes, but he doesn't want to. If the cam doesn't need the adjustable push rods, IMO don't bother, just drop the old ones in the hole in be done in 30 seconds.
Last build I did do adjustable pushrods, and replaced my breathers. But I prefer just dropping stock in the hole, and being done with it.
If you use S&S they do not give you instructions in the box you have to do a damn QR code, When I did it, I didn't have cell service. really pissed me off and I wrote them. And no sticker.

Nice thing about the stock rod it not needing to adjust them....just have to make sure they aren't under load if you take the boxes off and putting them back on

Yep. No flats to count, no instructions to read, nothing to fail. The cam on my 103" needed them, But my 95" is still using stock push rods at 90k miles. I prefer how easy it is.

No, the cam lift is not the deciding factor on whether or not you need to use adjustable pushrods.
You will need to use a set of adjustable pushrods if the base circle of the new camsdoesnot match the base circle of the OEM cams.
NOTE: Base circle size can be related to cam lift
Some base circles will match, many will not. Most people will just use the adjustable pushrods whenever they replace OEM cams with non-HD cams.
Those who like to use the one-piece push rods will check with the new cam manufacturer or measure the base circles to compare when they get the new cams.
PS- I went back to your first post and noticed you are using Woods 222 cams. I am not positive, but I think you need adjustable pushrods with Woods cams.
